"press tv" news website on 21 December, five engineers, the third largest city in Syria, Homs, was kidnapped by unidentified armed elements.
Reported that a total of eight engineers were kidnapped, including five Iranian electrical engineer.
Since the outbreak of civil unrest in Syria since March, Homs is reduced to one of the major outbreak of civil strife. Militants also kidnapped a number of recent Syrian civilians and security forces.
